Being a new artist, I reflect on spending most of my life praying and hoping that I could one day do my own art. I saw passion, faith, and creativity in others for art but I could not find that in me nor in any of my art, and I craved that. One day recently it found me; the true reasoning of art. Art is the product of human creativity. It is your expressions of truth and ideals, life and dreams. In the past, I was trying to create art for people instead of for me. I was trying to do art for the wrong reason. Finally, a friend said to me, “ My paintings are basically layers and layers of imperfections, topped with a solution." To me, she meant appreciating the imperfections; my imperfections. My art is mine, and mine alone. It is free from the pressures and interference of others. Art stimulates me and what God has given me. God told me to have faith in my intuitions. Realize that when you’re walking down the street and see a ray of sunlight illuminating a piece of trash and you find yourself catching your breath, that you have seen something important, although to someone else it is nothing.

I was born in Kingston, New York, USA. I have also lived in Florida and Colorado. Being a woman of faith who believes that the closer I get to God, the more He will bless my new found artistic talents. I draw much of my inspiration from my young daughter, Elorah.
